Postponed Winter League matches

Owing to the bad weather yesterday 29th January 2012, some Winter League matches had to be postponed. As a result, there are matches in Monkstown on Monday 30th January, Tuesday 31^st January and Thursday 2^nd February. These will start at 7.00 on courts 4, 5 and 6. Members who use these courts on those evenings will be notified

FRIDAY SOUP NIGHTS TOURNAMENT

Well after three great friday evenings, when thankfully the weather was kind to us, we came to the end of what we hope was a very enjoyable tournament for all.

Our four teams played each other over the three weeks and it came down to playing each other last night to see who the winning team was going to be, it was down to a matter of a couple of points!

The team that pulled out all the stops to win, were as follows; Terri Corbett & Elaine Hartnett, Siobhan Coburn & Eleanor O’Flynn, Henry Rice & Louise Hofler, Emily Kelly & Martina Conneely and Brian Kelly & John Coburn (Captain)

and just beaten, by only two points, our runners up were;

Anne Tynan & Catherine Keane, Joanna Duffy & Trish Horgan, Mark Horgan & Mary Meagher, Anne Noonan & Miriam McManus and Niall O’Carroll & Brendan Egan (Captain)

A huge thank you to Kathleen Clarke, Breege Clancy, Ray Kavanagh, Sandra Smyth and Evelyn Ging for continuing the Monkstown LTC high standards in catering, by providing delicious soup each evening!
