The 2011 ATP World Tour Finals

Dad and I went to the O2 in London on the Thursday. We had a flight at 7 in the morning which meant we were up very early but it was worth it!

When we arrived we wandered around the arena looking at all the stands and all the practice courts, unfortunately we didn’t see any players warm up. Then we headed into the arena and saw a doubles match. It wasn’t a very good match at all!  The pair who won ended up winning the tournament though. After that we got to see the big match between Federer and Fish. The first set went easy enough to Federer but Mardy broke back and took the second set.  As the third set got underway it was clear Federer was going to win the match and probably the tournament too with the way he was playing, taking the final set 6 4. It was unbelievable to see Federer so close and see him play such great tennis!

At the end of the day we met up with Gary and Sam Barry. Sam was just off court from hitting with Nadal!  He gave me his towel and the ball they hit with which was so good! Then as I was in a reception I saw Federer close up with his coach but didn’t get a full image of him because he was shielded by bodyguards! Overall it was a great day and Dad and I really enjoyed it!
