A Friendly against St. Kilian’s German School

Accepting a last minute invitation, Juliette O’Flynn, Julia Healy, Rachel Norton, Caoimhe O’Connor, Aisling Walsh and Siofra Watson played a friendly in St Kilian’s German School on March 22nd.

The School team from fifth and sixth classes and their sports teacher, Ms Sherriff, welcomed the visitors.

Strong gusts of wind with a touch of sleet made play difficult at times but the good humoured players coped well with the inclement conditions.

The hardy spectators were rewarded with long rallies and impeccable on-court conduct. The outcome between the sides was a complete draw as St Kilian’s and Monkstown LTC each won one, lost one and drew one match (no time to play a tie-breaker).

All the players enjoyed a drink and a bar of chocolate provided by Ms Sherriff after their matches.

The St Kilian’s girls really appreciated the chance to practice as a team and thanked the Monkstown LTC girls (and their mums) for coming.
