News & Events 12th April 2019

Busy times in the club these days! Event after event, and all very successful. Last weekend we had the Tennis4Cancer tournament for our juniors which was very well supported. €575.00 was raised on the day. Well done to Adrienne who spearheaded the event ably assisted by Stephen and Karen and lots of the Mums who helped in various ways. A total of €5,425 was raised for Tennis4Cancer by the Club this year.

The Leinster U/9’s Open held last Sunday proved to be a major success. Roisin Schwer put an immense amount of work into running the event. Many of our juniors and Mums helped out throughout the afternoon with umpiring and serving teas & coffees etc.. A representative from the Leinster Branch also attended along with our own Lisa (O’S) who is on the Leinster Branch Junior section and all were very impressed.  Thanks to our members for their cooperation for the lack of court availability throughout the day.

Captains’ Day is tomorrow and Carmel and Johnny are putting no end of work into making the day a memorable one, let alone what Karen & Anne Marie are organising on the catering side of the event. Just a few reminders cost wise; Tennis & Dinner €45.00, Tennis only €20.00 and Dinner only €25.00. Payment on check-in on Saturday at 10.15, please have exact amount with you!  Carmel & Johnny have asked that you check-in at 10.15, ready to go on court for 10.30 and come back for 7.30 when you’ll be greeted with a glass of Prosecco before dinner at 8pm.
