The big event on the horizon is Captains’ Day on  Saturday  23rd  April.

The signup sheet looks nearly full – with a few places for Dinner still avaiable…just a few days left to be included!

Easter Cup:  Henry  & his crew had a great win last Saturday…..well done lads  &  Good Luck for your last match this Saturday!

Blue & Gold:  Good Luck to Siobhan & Pat’s teams as they play their last match this Friday.

Summer  League: The signup sheet for the Mens’ Summer League is now on the Notice Board – so please sign up within the next week…Andrew has to fill 5 teams! 

The Ladies list looks almost full.

The annual vist of the Ladies from Mullingar tennis club – ably organised by Emily took place last Sunday. The weather was beautiful & a really nice afternoon was had by all.

Club Night: Joe is hosting Club Night tonight – Volunteers to host are getting a bit thin on the ground!…so please check the list & slot your name in.

Doubles Boxes:  The draw for the Doubles Boxes is now on the board – matches must be played by early May…thanks to Clodagh for organising this event.

Our President, Tom Crotty & Judy met with Child Protection Officers John Claffey & Roisin Schwer on Monday last to dicuss Monkstown LTC’s policy on Child Protection. We have a very comprehensive policy & will furnish details on the Notice Board shortly.

Juniors: Rachel Hartnett had a brilliant run in the National Matchplays played in Galway last w/end. She reached the Final of the U/16 singles – only to be beaten 10/8 in the final set tie-break.  A great result Rachel, Congrats! – & to David, Fergus, & Matthew who all represented us so proudly.

The U/18 & U/12 Junior League got under way last Sunday – Good Luck to both teams.

To finish this week here’s an SOS!  One of the 2 kettles has vanished from the kitchen. It wasn’t working so I need to return it to where I bought it. So if any of you have it would you mind dropping it back to the kitchen!
