News & Events 21st September 2017

Well how about this….a clean sweep of wins for both our Ladies & Men’s Senior League teams last Sunday!  Congrats Ladies & Gents, with just two matches to go, the Playoff stages are looking very interesting!  By the way thanks so much to all the Captains for their prompt delivery of the result sheets.

The Floodlight League starts next week with Men on Monday nights and Ladies on Tuesday nights. Again apologies for the disruption of court availability on courts 4, 5 & 6 from 7 – 9pm on these evenings, maybe those members booked on court 1, 2 & 3 might like to share their courts!

Men’s Morning is as vibrant as ever, this week, there are no matches @ 9.30am but unfortunately there are two matches @ 11am.

LADIES MORNING: An SOS has gone out from the Ladies Morning Committee, for whatever reason very few of you Ladies have appeared since the start of September. Maybe you’re still re-adjusting to the routine of school runs etc. but you’re missed very much! Coaching for all standards is being arranged from 9am – 10am (Signup sheet on the Notice Board) – so hopefully that will encourage you to come down!

The Charity League Teams are up on the Notice Board…so get practicing!

Date for your Diary Ladies….The Annual Halloween Tournament will be held on Wednesday 25th October. This tournament always proves to be a very popular event and this year it will be a Charity Event.  The Committee have decided to donate all monies to the Charity “Open Spectrum”, this charity is a totally voluntary organisation providing after school activities for children with Autism, and so your participation would be much appreciated Sign-up sheet will be on the Notice Board shortly.

KENNELLY TOURNAMENT is on this Saturday evening, can’t wait for Susie’s yummy supper!!

CLUB NIGHT: Club Night tonight will be hosted tonight by Robert Sheehan. Thanks Rob! The sun is shining so make the effort to come down.

JUNIORS: Good Luck Catherine / Roisin & Alice for your U/16 Stars & Stripes event tomorrow evening, nice to have invited 7 clubs to play tennis & enjoy Pizzas afterwards!

Despite the very changeable weather Term 1 Coaching has got underway. To facilitate payment of fees for the coaching I’ll be in the office from 4 – 5 o’clock on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
