News & Events 4th October 2018

Our Senior League teams have completed their League campaign with super results, three of our Men’s’ teams and three of our Ladies teams have reached the Playoff stages. Four teams feature in Home matches this Sunday. The Men’s 1st team play Naas 1st at in their O/35 Class 1 Semi Final at 11am. Our Men’s’ 2nd team play Shankill 5th ‘s in their O/35 Class 4 Quarter Final also at 11am,  so Men’s’ morning guys give your usual loud support to the teams to help them over the line!

 Our Ladies take to the courts in the afternoon, with the 4th team playing Clontarf 4th’s in their Quarter Final at 2pm and the 7th team playing Ratoath 2nd’s in their Quarter Final also at 2pm. There should be some exciting tennis on view so pop down to support them! 

Again a reminder that the Floodlight League is played on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Ladies Morning: The Ladies Morning Charity League starts on Monday week the 15th, with matches on both Monday and Tuesday mornings at 10am. A notice regarding court availability will be on the Notice Board next week. 

 

Juniors: The popular Stars & Stripes U/12 League has reached its final stage, Monkstown Boys and Girls were just pipped in the semi-finals last Saturday, and they play in the 4th and 5th playoff this Saturday.  The U/14 Stars & Stripes league starts on Saturday 13th October and runs for five weeks, sign-up sheet is now on the Notice Board.

The DLTC Boys/Girls U/14 League is well under way with both Monkstown teams unbeaten, well done!

 

Congratulations to Grace Owens on her selection as Leinster Coach of the year announced at the Coaches Conference last Sunday. Grace was congratulated for her wonderful work in setting up the Charity Tennis 4 Cancer and in the process raising €25,000 in its 1st year.
