News & Events 5th July 2018

Congratulations to our Ladies 3rd Team who won Class 4 of the DLTC Summer League. A super achievement! The team of Olivia Crossan, Pat Cowley, Rachael Mullett, Aisling Cullen & Rachel Mc Auley and Ciara Mac Kenna & Carol Kelly (Captain) played their hearts out to register a great win. The 1st team lost out to a very strong Fitzwilliam team but gained promotion to Class 1 which was their main aim. A welcome break from Leagues now until September!
The Club Handicap Tournament starts next Monday 9th and runs for two weeks culminating with the ever-popular BBQ on Saturday 21st. If you intend going to the BBQ please signup as soon as possible. Niall & Denise have put lots of effort into encouraging members to play and their efforts have paid off, a very good entry has been received so it should be a good two weeks of tennis, with the odd glass of wine/beer to help the social side of the event! There will be sandwiches etc. available each evening supplied by very generous volunteers who have signed up to cater. Thanks to Mary Meagher & Geraldine Byrne for organising same. Even if you haven’t entered do pop down and join in the atmosphere! The draw/schedule for the Handicap Tournament will be available on the web home page under “Club Links” from Saturday.
Club Night tonight will be hosted by Carmel McAllister, many thanks Carmel. It should be a good evening with such lovely weather, also last Club night for a couple of weeks because of the Handicaps!
