News & Events 6th October 2016

Well the Senior League is done & dusted – bar the playoffs – 2 Mens’ teams have qualified…The O/55 play their Semi Final on Sunday 16th – while the O/35’s have a 1/4 final on Saturday 15th…..well done guys!…..full details next week.

The floodlight league continues…early days yet but all teams are holding their own.

The Ladies Charity league started last Monday

Pat Cowley is just back from her trip with the ITF Super Seniors team event held in Umag, Croatia. Her team were in a tough section – but managed a win over Ukraine. Well done Pat.

CLUB NIGHT: Club Night  tonight will be hosted by Rob Mc Cullagh..as it’s the 1st Thursday of the month it’ll be a Competition Night – so make that extra effort to get down & compete for a bottle of Vino or 2!!

JUNIORS: The Junior League finishes this weekend…all 3 teams  (Boys U/14 & U/18  &  Girls U/18 ) have done really well & with good results this Sunday should qualify for the playoffs.

The Boys & Girls U/14 Stars & Stripes 3rd place playoff in the Plate will be played on Saturday next – with Monkstown playing Sandycove…Good Luck!

There will be a Halloween Tennis / Fun Camp during the Mid – Term break – ( Tues – Fri 1st – 4th Nov)  Full details in next week snippets!

Eric has again come up with an amazing Album that covers the Championships. It really is a fabulous production- thank you so much Eric for all the time & energy you put into creating this masterpiece!

Mary Meagher has very kindly donated the 3 Volumes of “The History of Irish Tennis”. The books join all the photo albums in what is suggested as the “reading area” in the window of the main function room!
