News & Events 9th November 2017

Well one Floodlight team still standing, well done to Johnny – Robin – Harry & Jack who secured all 3 points in their 1/4 Final match last Monday night. The 1st team came a cropper, not helped by poor Mickeymac having to retire injured. Anyway, all roads lead to Leopardstown LTC next Monday @ 7pm where Johnny, Robin, Harry & Jack take on Leopardstown 1st in their semi-final match. As has been proven in the Senior League supporters play a huge part in getting teams over the line, so do pop by and cheer them on!
The Sunday Brunch kicked off last Sunday with great tennis and a delicious brunch prepared by Margaret & Breege.
LADIES MORNING: Ladies Morning continues to thrive; the Charity League Teams are all performing very well so with 2 matches to go it’s all to play for Ladies! Best of luck to the three Monday League Teams captained by Linda, Helen & Isabella and the three Tuesday Teams captained by Sonja – Lisa & Caroline! I’m told Stephen’s coaching on Wednesday mornings @ 9am is proving a great success. “Drop in”…all welcome!
The Ladies Christmas Party, organised by the Ladies Morning Committee, takes place on Friday 1st December. Signup sheet is on the Notice Board, it always proves to be a super fun night! The deadline to signup is Friday 24th Nov, so hurry up!

JUNIORS: Over the mid-term break Stephen organised a group of kids to go to Rushbrooke tennis club in Cork, unfortunately the train strike coincided with the trip which curtailed the number of kids travelling. Many thanks to Claire Aherne & Anne Considine for transporting them to Cork and back, reports say they had a super trip.
The U/14 Stars & Stripes team have reached the Plate semi-final which will be played in Monkstown @ 5.30 pm on Saturday, best of luck & thanks to Mary Kenny for organising the team.
Coaching has resumed & I’d like to give a gentle reminder to those who have overlooked paying the fee for the Term to do so!

I can’t believe the amount of Lost Property that is piling up again in the function room, please claim before it goes to South Africa with Gabriel Grier.
