Welcome from the President

I am delighted and honoured to be President of Monkstown Lawn Tennis Club – the oldest Club in Ireland.  I am also pleased to be only the 3^rd Lady President and hope to do as good a job as my predecessors, Carmel Wyse and Micheline Grier.

I have been on the Executive Committee for the past two years as Vice President.  In that time I have been involved with our Member Ties database.  This enables us to send emails as well as keeping an accurate account of our membership.   I have also been Editor of the Club website.  We now have tennis clothing with the Club logo. These are available in Grandstand in Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre.

The Executive Committee works hard each year on behalf of all the members.  Our many sub-committees do great work also.  Please let us know if you have any concerns or suggestions.  I will do my very best to keep up the good spirit that we have in Monkstown LTC and I look forward to my term as your President.

Monkstown LTC is a very active Club with many Senior and Family members.  Hopefully you will find all the information you may need about the Club on this website.

Pat Cowley and Ann McGovern are Editors of the Monkstown LTC website.  We have a  password-protected members directory. This  allows Senior members to communicate with each other by phone.   We need your permission to publish this information online.   Also, we are password protecting all Junior member images in a private gallery.  This is in place so that Monkstown LTC is in compliance with standard online child protection guidelines.  To get these passwords, contact any Committee member or ask Judy in the Office.
