The finals were held on Friday 7th November. Thank you goes
to Brendan Egan for stepping into cover for the absent organiser,
to Karen MacKenna and Kevin Polley for helping to organise
the night. Also thanks need to go to Siobhan Coburn, Anne
Noonan and Suzanne Broughan for helping the event run smoothly.
The 3rd place playoff was won by Sandycove Blue, well done
to you and hard luck to Glenageary Gold. I understand the
match was a good one to watch. The final was between Glenageary
Blue and Railway Union Gold, the final result of the matches
was an even 2 matches each so the decider was a tie break
and Glenageary won this to retain the title! Congratulation
to them the result- very close!
The next round of blue and gold will be held in the spring
and Monkstown will pace the organising on to the next club
in the next few weeks.

Well it is that time of year again the Autumn Sunday Brunch
start last Sunday and I have to say it was a perfect day weather
wise, the sun shone and the rain stayed away.
The second week was a looking a little dodgy, but cleared
to allow play to happen. The breakfast staying on the healthy
option seems to have gone down a treat. More fun next week!

The Tonic Tournament is in full swing and nice to see the
courts in full use, hope everyone is enjoying their games
and remember to put up your scores on the board.
Sorry for the format change but it does work with the 13
games. Remember the 13th game is a normal tie breaker!

Acknowledgment for the teams that made it through to the
finals of the senior league needs to be made. So a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS
to the teams that made it through to the Senior league finals
- it was a horrific day to play wind gusting and sprinkles
of rain- we came second in both the men's over 35 class 2
and the ladies 045 class 2- good job by the teams and their
captains for getting so far.
The team photo's are below.
