Winter League 2014

There are Seven Ladies teams and five Men’s teams playing in the Winter League which started on Sunday 26th January and will finish on 23rd February.
The Men’s matches take place on Sunday morning from 9.30am am and the Ladies play in the afternoon from 2pm.

Update on the Ladies teams :

The 1st team , captained by Adrienne Cusack, have had some very close matches in this tough section.The team have had one win so far and face their strongest opposition this weekend against Landsdowne 1.
Julie Byrne played once for the team before travelling to Estonia with the Federation Cup Team and Caroline Grace played her final match for the club last Sunday before going directly to the airport to embark on her world trip.

The 2nd team, with Karen Mac Kenna as captain had one win in this challenging section. Their next match is away to Glenalbyn 1 at the weekend and the team are determined to do well.

Carol Kelly and her team have also had one win so far in another tough group.
With home advantage for their next match against Donnybrook 2, the 3rd team and are hoping for a good result .

Team 4, captained by Catherine Keane, have had two wins out of three and are currently joint second in their section going into this Sunday’s match which is at home to
Sandycove 2.

Rachel Mullett’s team have won all their matches so far.They are joint first in their class five section, so it’s all to play for on Sunday when they face Celbridge 3 at home.

Deirdre Hornshaw is captain of the 6th team .They are determined to add another win to their record as they take on De Vesci 2 next.

The 7th team, captained by Breege Clancy , lie in second place at the moment with two wins out of three. They play Brookfield 4 this weekend.
