An update on the Senior League Playoffs....Last Sunday the Ladies 2nd team won a great battle against Glenalbyn 1st to reach the 1/4 Finals - well done Catherine and your team!. Unfortunately the 7th team played their hearts out but were just pipped in the final set of the last match...very tough luck to Emily and your team.

The 1/4 Finals are scheduled for this Saturday 12th Oct. The following are the matches:

  • Ladies: Monkstown 2nd v Wicklow Town 2nd - AWAY @ 2pm

  • Monkstown 3rd v Navan 1st - HOME @ 2pm

  • If both Monkstown teams win they play each other in the Semis on Sunday @ 2 o'clock!! A lot to play for Ladies! Good luck to Pauline - Catherine and your teams.

  • Men: O/55 Monkstown 1st v Lansdowne 1st - AWAY @ 11am Good luck Declan & your team!

  • Semi Final: Sunday: O/35 Monkstown 1st v Portmarnock 1st - AT HOME @ 11am

Good luck Stephen & the lads! If Declan's team wins on Saturday they'll also be AT HOME on Sunday @ 11am Supporters welcome to all these matches!

This will be the last Sunday of any disruption for Men’s Morning - Thanks for your patience guys!
The Floodlight league, although at the early stages, is progressing well.

Pat Cowley has just reminded me about the O/55 Ladies League which was run last year and proved very successful. The League starts on Friday 1st November and runs for 5 weeks. There is a signup sheet on the Notice Board.

Club Night: Club Night tomorrow night will be hosted by our Vice Lady Captain Helen Ryan. Thanks a mil Helen! Do pop down and support Club Night.

The Ladies Morning Charity league is also at the early stages but is being enjoyed by all teams who are giving great commitment...and producing yummy food!

Juniors: Again there are lots of leagues happening at Junior level....Our Stars & Stripes U/12 team have reached the Final and are playing in Newtown Park tennis club on Saturday next 12th @ 5pm. Super performance to get to the Final Girls & Boys!....very best of luck on Saturday. Thanks to Lisa Woodcock & Ruth Marchand for overseeing the matches.

The DLTC Junior league is also progressing well, with both Girls & Boys U/18 & U/14 teams playing.

The Lost Property is begining to pile up again....This is the last call as Gabriel Grier is heading to South Africa very shortly and will take all lost property with him to distribute among the poorest of the poor out there.

That's it for this week.....I'd say they'll rest our Garry this weekend so he'll be ready to dominate in the 1/4 finals he has done throughout the tournament!
