The Handicaps are underway...

Well the Senior Handicap tournament is well underway. Lots of competitive matches have been played with those who lost in the 1st round of the mixed having a second chance in the Plate event. It's very encouraging to see so many members playing in their first tournament and enjoying the special atmosphere around the club.

A big Thank you to the Ladies who have volunteered to do supper each evening...lovely fresh goodies for sale...also to Joe (Speer) who is manning the bar this week. Please keep a sharp eye on the schedule each day... because of unavailability matches may have to be rearranged at the 11th hour! Thanks Carmel &'re playing a blinder! The BBQ sign up sheet is on the Notice Board......Date..Sat: 20th always proves to be a super night...even if you're not playing in the tournament you're more than welcome to come along!

Our Juniors had their Handicap Finals day last Friday. A very exciting day was had by all - with lots of mums & dads up supporting on the day. Adrienne - able assisted by Harry - organised a BBQ in the afternoon....many thanks to Brian (Schwer) who cooked on the BBQ...attended by 60 kids!.... and to the Junior committee for helping out in various ways. A short break now til the Junior Championships - Mon 22nd - Sat 27th July. Deadline for entry forms is Tuesday the 16th.

Stephen has a Camp running the week of 15th - 19th July. 6 - 10 year olds. It runs from 10am - 1pm for 6 - 10 year olds and 2-5pm for 11-14 year olds.

Just a reminder that Juniors must be off the premises between 1pm & 2.15 pm to allow adults have time for a game.

A Dishwasher has been installed in the kitchen and is proving very popular! The guidelines for usage are on view in the kitchen.

That's it for this pop down some evening during the week & enjoy the atmosphere with a glass of wine or beer.

To any members going off on holidays this weekend...have a great break.
