CLUB NIGHT
PLEASE NOTE – No Club Night on tonight as the Blue & Gold League that was snowed off on 1st March needs the courts to play that match tonight – apologies about that, and club night will be back next week! Please feel free to come along to see The Gold team (see team sheet below) in action tonight at 7:30pm
JUNIOR EASTER CAMPS
Don’t forget booking for Easter Camps is now open on Easy Payments so book your young ones in for some fun, exercise and tennis skills over the school break!

JUNIOR COACHING
A reminder that Junior Coaching commences Saturday 6th April, 2024. Booking will open on Easy Payments on Tuesday 19th March at 10am and will close at 12 noon on Thursday 4th April.

Captains Declan and Jacqui would like to invite members to their captain's day mixed doubles tournament on Sunday 21st April which promises to be a fun event followed by dinner and entertainment .

Men's Winter League
The men's first team contested the Class 2 winter league semifinals on Sunday last away to Donnybrook. Top class tennis on display from Scott Barron, Michael Barron, Johnny O'Shea, Michael McMahon, Stephen O'Shea, and Fergus O'Rourke. Unfortunately, the outcome on the day wasn't to be for Monkstown - just pipped for a place in the finals and promotion to class 1. This brings the curtain down on the 2023 winter league for the men's teams. Many thanks to Aaron Duffy, the team captains, and the players for an enjoyable campaign. Roll on the summer league!
Ladies Winter League
Winter league came to its final conclusion last weekend.
Both class 3 teams reached the quarterfinals and despite excellent tennis , competition was very tough with neither team,unfortunately, making it through to the semi final stage .
Congratulations to both teams captained by Karen MacKenna and Rachel Mullett for getting so far in the league and for playing great tennis ...next year
Blue and Gold - Inter Club Mixed Doubles Tennis
Both the Blue and the Gold teams had great wins last week against Carrickmines and Lansdowne respectively. The Gold team (see team sheet below) will be in action tonight (Thursday) - 7:30pm at home. Shankill will provide the opposition. Come along and lend Emily and the Gold team your support....... a great way to see mixed doubles being played at MLTC.

Easter Cup Men's Doubles Tennis
The men's Easter Cup campaign came to a finish last weekend with a great win against Meadowvale - well done Bill Sadlier (captain) and the Easter Cup squad for a super effort over the last few weeks.
Men's Summer League
Summer league will kick off in May. If summer league is of interest to you, then please register your interest using the WhatsApp link below (or the QR code on flyer on the club's notice board). Note, for those of you already attached to the "MLTC Men's League Group" WhatsApp group, there is no need for you to re-register. Any questions - please contact men's captain Declan at 0876305450.
Highlights:
· Match schedule runs from Saturday May 11th to mid June (precise schedule to be provided by the DLTC in due course)
· Matches played on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons.
· Seven players per team
· x3 singles players / matches, and x2 doubles pairings / matches
· Players must be at least 14 years old as of 31 December 2023

MEN’S COACHING
A reminder that coaching for class 4 to class 7 players runs every Monday evening at 9pm. Next session will be on Monday March 25th (unless otherwise advised ala the St. Patrick's Day holiday). LADIES MORNING
Ladies Morning will take place next Wednesday 20th March between 10am - 12pm and will be hosted by Carole Curtin.
All welcome for a fun morning of tennis followed by tea/coffee and chats so please do come along.
LADIES ST PATRICKS DAY TOURNAMENT
Our annual St Patricks Day tournament took place yesterday and we had a fabulous turnout.
Thank you to those who brought food there was a delicious spread.
We are donating €650 to the Blackrock Hospice from the Valentines and St Patricks Tournament coupled with funds raised by last years committee. Thank you to everyone for the support.
