The Winter League got off to a flying start last week - some very tight results - with the Men to the fore! For me the highlight of the first weekend was the return of Mark Mc Allister after months of ill health...and a winning return to boot! Congrats Mark we're all thrilled for you.
The Easter Cup starts this weekend and the Ladies Charity league is scheduled to start on 10th / 11th Feb. We will then have no less than 132 players playing league + subs... a remarkable number to be involved...best of luck to all & enjoy!
As I've mentioned the Easter Cup starts this Saturday 1st Feb with 3 courts required @ 11am.
Apologies to the Mens Morning guys - all courts booked 9.30am - 1pm. There are 2 Ladies matches @ 2pm & 1 @ 3.30. You can view all w/end league bookings online.
Club Night: Club Night tonight will be hosted by Robert Sheehan...I'm looking out at beautiful warm sunshine so what with so many courts being needed for league do pop down and be guaranteed a game. Thanks so much Rob!
Ladies Morning continues to thrive with coaching from 9am -10am followed by social tennis.
The various Charity League teams are now posted on he Notice Board. The signup sheet for the Valentine's Tournament (Wed 12th Feb) will be on the board over the weekend.
Juniors: The Stars & Stripes (U/12) signup sheet is now on the board. So sign up ASAP. There is also a sign up sheet for the Fun / Pizza tournament to be held during the mid term break on Wednesday 19th from 12 noon - 2pm...age group 7 plus.

Members might like to support Dairine Ni Mheadhra (Artistic Director) and John Hess (Pianist) in their "Tionscadal na nAmhran Ealaine Gaeilge/Irish Language Art Song Project" in the Kevin Barry Recital room at the National Concert Hall. The first three concerts of Irish Language Art Song (singer and piano) in the history of the Irish State, with Ireland's top opera singers Anna Devin, Rachel Kelly, Daire Halpin, Andrew Gavin, and Gavan Ring...February 15th & 19th and March 12th @ 7.30 pm. Sounds very interesting.
Well didn't Fed give us some amazing memories to cherish over the last week....just one match too many today......
Now over to you Garry! Double celebrations in the Ringrose household this weekend with Garry's younger brother Jack being selected to play for the Ireland Club XV v Scotland Club XV tomorrow night. Both Garry & Jack spent many days of their youth hitting tennis balls here on our courts. Very best of luck you both!
